Introducing LI Green Energy Days
Since 2008 LI Green, a Long Island based not for profit community organization, has been helping families to reduce the use of energy in their homes. To date over 1800 Nassau and Suffolk County families have received LI Green services.
Based on this success LI Green is growing to help even more families. We are now offering Energy Days events, on-site educational and technical assistance meetings throughout the region. Energy Days are based upon LI Green’s award winning energy efficiency engagement methodology which provides Long Island homeowners with one-to-one consultation services with trained energy professionals. During Energy Days meetings attendees learn about key energy use challenges in their homes, determine their eligibility for NY State, local and utility programs, and generate an action plan for best addressing their individual issues. At the same time they can begin the program paperwork for receiving Free Energy Testing and other services. There is no charge to participate in Energy Days programs.
Services Provided at Energy Days Events
One-to-one consultation with trained energy professional
Educational materials about home energy efficiency and renewable energy
Determination of Energy Action Plan specific to individual homeowner
Evaluation of eligibility of families for NY State energy efficiency and fuel assistance programs
Preparation of applications for participation in NY State programs
Scheduling of Free Energy Testing of attendee’s homes
